My Story

In November 2012, our son Luke was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Luke is an amazing, intelligent and extremely creative little guy who was enjoying his third month of Kindergarten when his life was interrupted by cancer. Luke loves... Superheroes, art, spiders, being a big brother, taking pictures, legos, playing with friends, being creative, participating in sports, playing games, science, playing at the park, and big bowls of chocolate ice cream with whip cream and cherries. What we love about Luke... His courage, incredible strength and amazing attitude, his sense of humor, his silly faces, his serious face, his love for his family, his mild manner and also his stubbornness, his creativity, his priceless dance moves, his ability to adapt, his bravery and determination, his energy, his curiosity...and the list goes on and on. From Day 1, Luke has been an inspiration to us, as well as our family and friends, with his maturity and ability to handle this like only a real superhero can. He is currently feeling good and kicking cancer's butt!
