My Story

Max was born with congenital giant nevus which led to having an MRI during his time in the NICU, at which time a tumor was also discovered that was later confirmed to be neuroblastoma. At 3 weeks old, Max had his tumor surgically removed. After a routine scan following his surgery,  another tumor was discovered and Max was moved from low risk to intermediate risk recurrent neuroblastoma at 8 months old. Max completed 2 rounds of chemotherapy in the summer of 2021, which shrunk his tumor by 95%! Thereafter, Max's 6 month post-chemo scan showed no measurable mass! We are cautiously optimistic about looking forward to a cancer free future that this toddler deserves.
