My Story

Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. Veronica was only 13 months old when she was diagnosed. She initially spent 5 weeks in the hospital before her first chemo treatment. She was released right before Halloween and was then on a schedule of chemotherapy and hospitalization every two weeks for the next seven months. Miraculously, she was able to spend every major holiday at home, not in the hospital. On Easter weekend of 2017, the difficult decision to place her on hospice care was made. She survived another 4 months and was called to our Lord just 23 days after her 2nd birthday. We will have our 3rd annual 5k in her memory on September 25th. All interested runners/walkers can sign up at veronicasjourney.com. Thank you, Chrissy Finnie
