My Story

Hi, my name is Victoria, but you can call me "Baby Vee." I was diagnosed with Stage 4, intermediate risk, Neuroblastoma at 9 months old. When I was only 8 months old, I grew a tumor on my orbital bone that sent me to the pediatrician. After lots of tests and scans they found more tumors on my adrenal gland, liver, thyroid, spine, leg bones, bone marrow, skull, and of course, the presenting tumor on my orbit. Thankfully this was found and diagnosed very quickly, but even still, the cancer had already metastasized. I am responding very well to treatment and now that the cancer is gone from my legs, I'm learning to walk! I just turned 1 and am such a happy little girl! I'm a blessing and a ray of sunshine to everyone I met. A little girl should never have to fight this hard to grow up, but I am a fighter and I'm beating cancer everyday! Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
