My Story

My son Austin Guidry was a normal,  healthy, goofy  13 year old boy till around Sep. 2018 when he started complaining of leg, knee and foot pain that the dr just blamed on growing pain and a lump in his neck dr blamed on just some type of infection about 1 month later he was diagnosed with a rare cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (a soft tissue cancer) through his whole body on 1/9/19. And passed away 7/29/19. We never thought something like this would ever happen. Like most people say  “it can’t happen to my child. It’s so rare.” But that’s not the case! It can happen to anyone even your child. Cancer doesn't care who you are or how many life’s it destroys. Cancer is a beast. Something must be done. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
