My name is Gabriel. In April of 2019, I was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, a kind of tumor that was growing on my brain. I was in the hospital for three months because the tumor affected the left side of my body. I had to learn how to talk, walk and use my arm again. I was in a lot of therapy for two years.
In June of 2021, only one year after I finished treatment, I was diagnosed with a tumor recurrence. I had to have another brain surgery and spent almost two months in the hospital to learn how to do everything again. I am in 8th grade this year and still have weekly physical and occupational therapy. I finished a year of chemotherapy in October of 2022. My last MRIs in October 2025 showed no evidence of disease!
This is a lot of hard work for me and my family, and we appreciate what you are doing to help kids like me!
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
