My Story

Athena has been a fighter since day one. She has over come so many challenges in her life and continues to amaze us everyday. My husband and I never realized the importance of her name when we chose it for her and how much she really is like the Goddess Athena, the Goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, and strength. When we received her diagnosis, we were devastated. We thought, here is this little girl who fights and continues to succeed everyday, why her? She has overcome so many odds through out her treatment and everyday has been a blessing as she starts to heal and get stronger. Thank you for supporting us and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
