My Story

On Sunday, September 15, 2019 our hearts shattered into a million pieces. Our 4 year old daughter, Rowan Price, passed away peacefully at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Rowan was diagnosed on October 4, 2018 with a rare form of Leukemia, AML M7, also known as AMKL. Rowan faced this challenge and fight against childhood cancer with dignity, grace, and the most precious smile on her face. She danced her way through treatments and left her doctors, nurses, and all who loved her in awe of her fighting and loving spirit. Rowan was a bubbly, energetic, loving little girl who's smile could brighten the worst of days. After 2 rounds of intense chemotherapy, Rowan received a cord blood transplant in January of 2019 at Duke University Hospital and was did amazingly well. During this time our family cherished our time together and made many lasting memories. We were announced Cancer Free on May 15, 2019 but unfortunately on June 15, 2019, Rowan relapsed. We went through 2 clinical trials but Rowan's AML came back very aggressive and chemo resistant.  Our family was getting ready to travel for a compassionate exemption immunotherapy when Rowan's little body couldn't fight anymore. Rowan had a smile that lit up the world. She loved swimming, Barbies, horses, Peppa Pig, chocolate sprinkled cupcakes and doughnuts, LOL Dolls, princesses the color black, and most of all her big sister, Emory. She was the happiest little girl you could meet with a special spirit and an old soul. She balanced our family and gave us all hope. She brought together a community with her story and we want to honor her by helping fund research for childhood cancer. Rowie is worth more than 4 and so are all the children affected by childhood cancer.  Please donate in honor of our Rowie; the light she left will Everglow! Thank you for your generous donation and making a difference.
