My Story

Emily was a happy 19-month old when a cold, and some trouble breathing brought her to her pediatrician. Within a few minutes, it was clear that she needed hospital attention, for a presumed Heart Infection. Ultrasounds that night revealed that Emily had a Mass in her chest that was restricting her airways, pushing on her heart, and blocking blood flow. Luckily, Emily was in the best place at CHOP, with a team of doctors ready to help. She was later diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Emily went through many bumps, and over 2-years of chemotherapy, including 75-nights in the hospital in her first-year alone but continued to stay strong and positive through the entire ordeal. Her family, including her best friend and brother Danny, stayed positive and supportive, and on May 27th 2017 Emily was cancer-free and finished Chemo!  Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
