My Story

Kailey is an amazing 5 year old whose world changed forever March 12th, 2018. This was the day she was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma. This was after a doctors visit on March 9th due to her complaints of her tummy and legs hurting off and on for a couple days. Tests were done and we were sent home only to get a call shortly after to go to the hospital for further testing. The 13th she went into surgery to have her central line was placed and she started chemo the following day. She had undergone 6 rounds of chemo, tumor removal surgery of the primary mass that was in her abdomen, stem cell transplant, and is currently undergoing immunotherapy. As of her last scans, the cancer is still present in her left upper chest and bone marrow. Thru all this she keeps her sense of humor, always trying to make others laugh as well as get fighting spirit. She is my strength and inspiration! The is currently no treatment for relapsed neuroblastoma and research funding is so desperately needed for this as well as other childhood cancers such as DIPG which is terminal upon diagnosis! You never think it'll be your child until one day it is! We can't do this without your help! Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
