My Story

Shyann Marie Harris-Edwards 2 year’s old - Topeka, KS Diagnosis: Leukemia (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia) Brief Recap of the treatment procedures and duration: Shyann was diagnosed on June 28, has 2017, she was 11 months old. When Shyann first got diagnosed with leukemia she coded. The doctors were able to revive her. Shyann was in the hospital receiving treatment for three months when she was first diagnosed. Then she was home for a week and then back in for a month of treatment. Now she goes in once a month for outpatient chemo. Shyann has two brothers, Naziah who is 12 and Zaelin, who is ten. Zaelin was diagnosed with Type One diabetes three years ago. Shyann lives with her mom which manages all her treatments.
