My Story

Thank you for visiting my son's page. On February 27, 2017, at just 3 months of age, little Michael was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It was a complete shock to my husband and I as well as our entire family. Little Michael immediately began chemotherapy treatment with the hope of remission. After several rounds of chemotherapy, it was determined that our last hope of remission would be a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, after 9 months of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, our son never achieved remission. Faced with this devastating news and with no other options for a cure, we took our precious baby home to enjoy whatever time we had left together as a family. On December 1, 2017, after a grueling 10 month battle with Leukemia, our baby passed away. Little Michael had an unstoppable smile that lit up the room and everyone's heart. He loved music, reading books with mommy & daddy and watching little baby bum. He was strong, brave and overcame so much in his short yet impactful life. His father and I will continue to share his story in hopes that other families will not have to experience the great loss we’ve endured.
