My Story

Roman has a very rare blood disorder called Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome. It affects his entire body mainly his blood. He is considered pre leukemic currently and has a 30-40% chance of developing leukemia any time. Roman has no matches in the bone marrow registry should he need a transplant. Since SDS affects the entire body, treatment for leukemia is much more complicated and dangerous for these patients. Thank you for supporting Roman and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
