My Story

Jack was diagnosed with an ependymoma brain tumor on October 3, 2016. He had surgery to remove the tumor on October 7, 2016. The tumor was a grade 2. The surgery was  successful- a complete resection. Jack then started proton radiation on November 20, 2016 at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He completed 30 treatments, with his last treatment on January 5, 2017. Jack had his first MRI scan since completing radiation on February 14, 2017 and it was clean. It showed no evidence of tumor. He will be scanned every four months for the first three years and then every 6 months for the next two years. Throughout the whole journey, Jack was so brave. He is currently in TK, he enjoys playing soccer, golf, football and basketball. He loves to watch sports with his daddy. He is the best big brother to his siblings: Paul (4), Mary (3), and Joy (7 months). We are so very proud of him and love him so much!!!
