My Story

On September 2015, four year old Luisa was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH). The tumor was growing right behind her eyeball and was causing for the right side of her face to swell and her eyeball to protrude. After an entire year of treatment, doctor's visit, Child Psychologist visits, and trauma, Luisa was declared cancer free and in remission August 2016. As of today, Luisa is doing great, extremely healthy, and being a regular child. You would not think she ever had cancer. She is excelling in school, has many friends, enjoys hiking around North Carolina and is playing youth soccer. From the beginning she has been #LuisaStrong
