My Story

On June 25, 2015, Brock at the age of 2 went into the doctor because he was sick and throwing up. They did x-rays, bloodwork, and a number of other tests. When his bloodwork came back, the white blood cell count was at 120,000 while the normal count is usually 4500 - 10000 and the doctor said he would need to go to the Children's Hospital in Dallas. Before leaving the local hospital, he had a blood transfusion and was taken by ambulance to the Children's Hospital in Dallas. Once Brock was admitted to the Children's Hospital he had a bone marrow biopsy to determine the cause of the bad blood work mentioned earlier. After the tests were completed, the diagnosis was confirmed to be pre-b acute lymphoblastic leukemia, otherwise known as A.L.L. It is going to be a long road of medical treatments and trips to continue to treat A.L.L. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
