My Story

Eli was first diagnosed with  Pre B Cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) in January 2015 at the age of 13. After 3 years and 4 months of treatment, Eli successfully finished on Star Wars Day (very fitting), May 4th, 2018.  After just over 2 years off treatment and right before he was supposed to start college, Eli relapsed in August 2020. It was also discovered that he was Philadelphia-like positive, which  makes it harder to treat. Eli went through car-T treatment at U of M in January 2021, then had a cord blood bone marrow transplant in April 2021. He has his 1 year post-BMT checkup soon and has been doing terrific. He is finishing his first year of school and loving life in typical Eli fashion!
