Our sweet Hannah was diagnosed with a rare type of AML when she was 9 years old. As a matter of fact, her markers had only ever been found in adults. Never a child.
So a treatment protocol had not been something available to her condition and the medical community decided on treating her as an "intermediate" risk designation.
So after 8 grueling months of "in-patient" treatment, Hannah Marie lost her battle to this horrible disease. Our family will forever be in mourning, but continue to try and honor her very short life.
We know first hand that no child or parent should have to endure what we have endured.
So in her Honor, we thank you for your donation to St Baldrick's. We are hopeful that a cure to this hideous disease will someday be realized.
