My Story

Thank you for supporting me, the children who have been diagnosed with cancer, and those of us living with the long term effects of treatment. I was 13 years old when I was diagnosed with germ cell cancer and spent most of my teenage years undergoing treatment and rehabilitation. I am now 20 years after my diagnosis and am a practicing emergency medicine physician. I was also given the opportunity to work at the Children's Hospital where I was treated at and became a pharmacy technician and nursing assistant prior to medical school. In addition to emergency medicine, I also have a high interest in international medicine and have been on teams throughout Central/South America and Africa. The person I am today is directly correlated to the experiences I had from my cancer treatment.
