My Story

Chris was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilms Tumor Cancer in his left Kidney when he was 6 years old. He participated in the National Wilms Tumor Study, and received treatment regimen DD4A (both chemotherapy and radiation). Childhood cancer research saved my son's life by ensuring the proper amount of radiation and chemotherapy were administered to him. Christopher is a cancer free adult, the research helped to free him from cancer. He participates in "Survivorship Clinics" to continue research on the side effects of chemotherapy on adolescents. This fund is in hopes that one more person will survive cancer and grow strong to live a healthy life!
