My Story

Megan had gotten sick in May and after a few visits to Dr's office we were sent on for further testing. On June 4, she was diagnosed with AML. Treatment started immediately. And so did Megan's Mission! Megan's philosophy was as long as she was fighting the battle, she would bring awareness to Leukemia! And that she did! She was doing well with treatment and was scheduled for transplant in October. However, she developed some complications and come out of remission on Oct. 1, just 13 days shy of transplant date. More treatments started, which led to a 50 day stay in the hospital. She was discharged and was home for 18 days during Christmas. On Dec 29th she was re-admitted and while in hospital during this stay, she caught the flu and developed pneumonia. She gained her wings on January 26 due to complications. Megan's Mission will live on!
