My Story

I was diagnosed with a brain stem tumor December 30, 2008. I went through chemotherapy from August 2009-December 2010 and again from December 2012-November 2013. My tumor is currently stable and I get MRI's every 6 months at the Cleveland Clinic to check my tumor. I also see several other specialists-nephrologist, urologist, neurologist, opthalmologist, endocrinologist, and a gastroenterologist. My tumor is related to my neurofibromatosis, and all the specialists I see are either related to late side effects of chemo or to my NF.   I have endured a lot through my cancer journey, but continue to battle on and am a warrior. I am a freshman in high school and am in band, marching band, Quiz Bowl and continue to get straight A's.  I love to play video games, go to Cedar Point and ride all the biggest/fastest coasters, play board games with my family, and have fun with friends. My favorite foods are BW3 chicken and fries, pizza, strawberries,  and sour candy.  Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
