My Story

Travis was so very brave throughout his two years and two months of treatment. In all that time, he only ever wrote about or mentioned his cancer but a few times. That's because cancer didn't define Travis, it was just something he was going through. It was a big part of his life, but nowhere near the most important. Travis was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. A true Alabama boy. When his treatment kept him cooped up in the hospital or at home, Travis engaged his mind with puzzles, crafts and origami. Travis endured nearly every treatment possible, including 5 clinical trials and a stem cell transplant, but nothing was successful in eliminating the cancer. On December 1st 2015, Travis' battle with cancer ended and he became truly cancer free. Thank you for supporting Travis and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
