My Story

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor right before my 2nd birthday. Prior to that I had been in and out of the hospital at least 20 times with pneumonia. They discovered I had swallowing problems and an MRI eventually found the tumor was causing my swallowing problems. I had a feeding tube inserted on my 2nd birthday but was able to have it removed when I was 5. Since I was 2 until 10 I only had to have my tumor monitored because it wasn't growing or changing shape. When I was 10, they discovered it was growing and I started Chemo on December 26, 2012. I endured 14 months of chemo to stop the tumor from growing and it worked!! I'm am officially done with treatment!!! Since I still have my tumor and always will, I will continue to undergo MRI's my entire life, but that's okay. I'm strong and I'm a fighter!! Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
