My Story

Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. Gloria was diagnosed with treatment related AML in 2009 and received a Bone Marrow Transplant in March 2010. She lost her vision due to the radiation treatments to her head and also suffered a stroke as well. She had also been diagnosed with Graft vs Host in her lungs due to the Bone Marrow Transplant. She was on continuous oxygen. She had braille studies at home and could only use her left hand due to stroke effecting her right side. She just wanted to be with friends and loved hearing from new friends too!
