My Story

Payden was diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin's Lymphoma in the fall of his freshman year of high school. He spent that fall and winter undergoing chemo and radiation treatments to rid his body of the disease. Thankfully, his body responded well to the treatments and he was declared in remission in the spring of his freshman year. He successfully participated all four years in his high school band and went on to accomplish many other goals. He is now coming up on his 18th birthday and looking forward to high school graduation and college. We are so very grateful for the advances in cancer treatments and medications that can treat this awful disease. There are so many other children we know whose stories do not have the same happy ending as Payden's. Our hearts go out to those families and we urge you to do your part to help further the advancement of childhood cancer research. How amazing it would be if childhood cancer could one day be a thing of the past. Thank you for supporting Payden and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
