My Story

Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. Kyle loves sports, and he plays soccer, basketball and baseball. During this past basketball season Kyle started having headaches with nausea and vomiting. After being diagnosed with a virus and still not feeling any better Kyle's mom took him to the eye doctor, it was then that the eye doctor noticed some pressure behind his eyes, and advised her to take him to Upstate for a CT scan. It was there that they found a mass on his brain. He was admitted to Golisano's Children's Hospital where he went through 3 surgeries in a week, one being a biopsy of the mass. On December 12 Kyle along with his mom and dad learned that the mass was a cancerous pineal parachymal tumor. He is currently going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. It's so hard for an active 13 year olds world to come to a screeching halt due to this awful disease. He is being a real trooper and we are hoping for the best possible outcome in the end. Kyle has a twin sister Kali who has been very supportive too!!
