My Story

Christian started having, what doctors thought were, pediatric migraines in May of 2009. It wasn't until a full body scan was ordered in Jan 2010 did they discover a tumor in his spinal cord. After a surgery to attempt removal, a biopsy was done and a much more grim diagnosis was made. Christian went through very aggressive treatment through the summer of that same year. In November he was not expected to survive more than a few more weeks. Since then more tumors have appeared and the disease slowly progresses. Keeping up with check ups and wonderful care from St Jude Children's Research Hospital, miraculously, Christian is living with the same disease now in 2016. He is 13 years old and feeling strong and is active in school with things such as assisting the middle school football coach and regularly attending youth group at church. He is determined to live life as full as he can and is proud of accomplishments like attending school all day, 5 days a week. --
