My Story

Samara is a wonderfully spirited 6-year-old girl. She loves princesses, Dora the Explorer, mermaids and the color pink. Samara enjoys drawing, singing Katy Perry songs and playing board games. Before she had her leg amputated, Samara loved to play soccer and chase fireflies. As soon as she gets her prosthetic leg she vows to play soccer again. Samara has a rare childhood cancer and is undergoing rigorous chemotherapy. Despite the challenges she's faced since March 2012, Samara remains cheerful and continues to have a smile for everyone she meets.
