My Story

Julian was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma on August 4, 2011. He was just 6 years old. He underwent 6 cycles of chemo, numerous bone marrow aspirations, Numerous MIGB and CT scans, A port placement, EKG, EEG, Many Blood and platelet transfusions and a Stem cell harvest at Golisano Children's hospital in Syracuse. His oncologist realized that Julian was not responding to treatment so they referred us to CHOP in Philly. In Philly, he received a tumor resection and MIGB Therapy round 1. We were hoping to clear his bone marrow, which was 70% infected with cancer. Julian enjoyed playing with his friends, loved camping and could never have too many weekends hiking in the woods. He loved to snuggle, play the wii and Ps3, and dreamed one day of entering the military and becoming a firefighter. After that, he planned on becoming a cop. A little man of many dreams! Cancer may have taken Julian's physical body but it could never touch him. He lives in the hearts and memories of all he touched. While Julian isn't here to ask this, I know he would have wanted everyone to get involved -- don't let this happen to another child and family.
