Scott was born a very happy and healthy baby and never even had a sick visit to the pediatrician during his first two years of life. However, life changed drastically for our family when Scott received a diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 3.
After taking more than 1,500 pills and completing 3 1/2 years of chemotherapy, we're grateful and thrilled that he is now able to do the "normal" things in life that he missed out on. He has been busy rebuilding his immunity and strength post-treatment, and recently completed his first kids' triathlon! He has also become an active childhood cancer advocate, speaking at various events on behalf of all kids with cancer.
Scott enjoys martial arts, swimming, chess, and all things Pokemon and Minecraft. He loves life, and takes nothing for granted. His determination and courage inspire us every day, and remind us of how thankful we are for the childhood cancer research that allows us to continue enjoying each day with him.
