My Story

Scott was born a very happy and healthy baby and never even had a sick visit to the pediatrician during his first two years of life. However, life changed drastically for our family when Scott received a diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 3. After taking more than 1,500 pills and completing 3 1/2 years of chemotherapy, we're grateful and thrilled that he is now able to do the "normal" things in life that he missed out on.  Scott enjoys playing basketball and video games and riding roller coasters. He loves life, and takes nothing for granted. His determination and courage inspire and remind us of how thankful we are for the gift of childhood cancer research. Thank you so, so much for your support! With your help, we can discover more cures and less toxic treatments that will allow more kids like Scott to live long, healthy lives.
