My Story

How do I begin to tell you about Ryan? How do I find enough words -- the right words -- to adequately give you a vision of how precious he was? I cannot. In this life, he was joyful and generous. He loved his brothers and sister, he loved his cats, he loved rainstorms and the color red and Lorna Doone cookies.
In this life, he accepted his disease without question or complaint. He didn't know he had cancer, and he didn't know he was dying. I told him that God would heal him, and he believed me.
I hoped that God would heal him in this life, but He did not. Now Ryan is in a place where everything is beautiful and nothing hurts. The day when I am with him again cannot come soon enough.
