My Story

When I was seven months old, I was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, cancer of the nerve cells. Because I was so young, I don’t remember the treatments that I had to go through other than what my parents told me. Although I do not remember those treatments, I do remember all of the follow-up appointments. Sometimes it is scary because I have to take blood tests, scans and procedures. However, I know that it is to help monitor the long-term effects of treatment. I am very thankful for all of the great doctors that were able to help me, and through God’s grace, I was able to go into remission the week before my first birthday. My prayers go out to all of the kids and families who are dealing with cancer, and I hope that one day we are able to find the cure.
