My Story

Marisa is a super sweet 8 year old! At her young age, she has already fought the battle of cancer once, having completed treatment for leukemia (ALL) in Dec. 2006. Now she's fighting again, another cancer...Rhabdomyosarcoma. You can't keep her down! Although Marisa had to undergo a major operation and now has weekly chemotherapy treatments, she still attends school, dance class, girl scouts and Indian princess. Take that cancer! UPDATE FEB, 2012: Marisa completed treatment for the second cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma, in November 2011. Since then, all of her scans have been clean...No evidence of disease. This year, Marsia will again be shaving her oncologist on March 3, 2012 @ Napper Tandy's. Please support childhood cancer awareness and research!
