My Story

Elise was diagnosed with an Ependymoma (brain tumor) when she was just 16 months old. She was treated at Boston Children's Hospital in conjunction with Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Albany Medical Center and NYU. As a result of surgeries and treatment she had a tracheostomy and feeding tube placed. She had to learn to walk and talk again. Despite all of her treatments over the years, she attended pre-school and dance class and simply loved life. She brought smiles and comfort to all her knew her. In the early morning hours of January 23, 2001 Elise passed away peacefully in the arms of her parents at the age of 4. She loved all of us dearly, especially her brother Ian and sister Claire. Although she never met her baby brother he is honored to carry the name she chose for him, Michael. She has made an incredible impact on all of our lives and we are blessed to have her. Not a day goes by...... We love and miss you Ese!!
