My Story

Joey is doing wonderfully. He is approaching his 6th year of remission and no one who knows him would guess he was ever sick. He LOVES to read, and has even begun writing and illustrating his own books. He loves playing with legos, drawing and creating videos on his Nintendo DSi. He is a cubscout and loves hanging out with his den. He is a happy kid, although somewhat of an old soul. He has asked us--"what if everything I know is really a dream, and in reality I have just been asleep?" We didn't know the answer to that one! Joey also loves playing with his brothers, Robbie, 8, and Frankie, 6. Both brothers pray nightly for Joey never to get cancer again (or get "l'kemia"). We just pray that they ALL stay healthy!
