My Story

Tara JoAnn Penton was the toughest young lady we have ever known and is missed by everyone whose life she touched. She loved life and lived it to the fullest . Tara started playing soccer at age 5 and she was a competitive swimmer winning many awards. She also played school volleyball and tennis. She participated in Girl Scouts for 12 years and reached the rank of Sr. Cadet.
In 2012 Tara attended a soccer game at the London Olympics, through Make-A-Wish. She was an exceptional young lady, who taught all of us determination and perseverance. She taught us to live and enjoy the time allotted to us even when it is short. She so loved life and everyone who met and knew her, loved her. Tara felt that many of the words from "Vultures", a John Mayer song, reflected her last few years. She selected a special verse from this song that I believe showed her determination and grit. "But I'll walk through the fire"
