My Story

Madie is a brave, strong, beautiful little girl who LOVES to read. She also enjoys swimming and playing soccer. She has endured many surprises (didn't plan on that ventilator or feeding tube) along the way to recovery. That is her goal...complete recovery. So far, she has completed about half of her treatment including 6 weeks in Jacksonville, FL, for proton radiation. She will continue the rest of her treatment here in Atlanta by rotating a 5 day chemo with a 2 day chemo every 3 weeks. Madie is fortunate to have wonderful friends who help her cope by playing Wii and ds with her. Both sets of grandparents alternate living with us to help. Cousins SKYPE. Most importantly, we are blanketed in prayers to a healing God who is directly all of the wonderful medical care she is receiving.
