My Story

Sam was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on January 20, 2009, at the exact moment President Obama was taking the oath of office. He has been a strong and brave little boy for the past year, and he has responded well to treatment. He is in maintenance now, and as the treatment is less intense, he is slowly starting to regain his energy. He enjoys playing with his little sister, going to preschool, playing with his trains, listening to music, eating french fries, and watching Elmo.
