My Story

Marcus is a very rambunctious little boy who defies the very thought of a child with cancer! When people meet him for the first time they most always comment on his energy levels! They can't believe this ball of energy has cancer. Marcus loves bowling, skateboarding, basketball and riding bikes in the summer. He loves snowboarding, snowmachining and snowskating in the winter too! Last year Marcus only agreed to go to the St. Baldrick's fundraiser if he didn't have to shave his head. Near the end of the fundraiser, Marcus came to me and said "MOM! I decided! If shaving my head will help other kids with cancer then I WANT to shave my head, even if I look sick!" He did ask me if it would take as long to grow back as long as it was at that moment. His hair was under an inch long so I assured him it would be quicker this time, and in the end it did not matter-he was so proud to have helped other kids!
