My Story

A beautiful blonde-haired, blue-eyed little girl twirls around the room energetically enjoying her Baby Ballerina class. When she gets home, she playfully engages in a lightsaber battle with the brothers she dearly loves - Adam and Kyle. No one would guess that Taylor Love, three-and-a-half years old, has Stage IV " high risk neuroblastoma. Thankfully, today this deadly childhood cancer does not hinder the lively, spirited Taylor who loves anything chocolate or pink. Not much displeases Taylor, who even manages not to complain too much when doctors make her ouchy. Despite neuroblastoma, Taylor is a normal little girl who loves princesses and Dora the Explorer. She happily spends her days busy at preschool, with friends, or playing outside whenever she can. She goes to music class and loves to sing. One of her most favorite activities in NYC is a visit with Uno the dog, the honored leader of the NYC Candlighters Support Team. And on those ouchy days, you will find Taylor tightly clutching her favorite pink polka dot blanket, enduring painful treatments with a great strength and grace that belies her young age.
