My Story

Victor was 11 years old when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. After three years of intense treatment; involving chemotherapy and radiation he was cancer free for the following three and a half years. Unfortunately, he relapsed at the young age of 18 with a new diagnosis of relapsed ALL. Unfortunately, Victor is no longer with us. He became an angel on January 4th, 2010 due to complications following a bone marrow transplant. Victor not only attended CSULB, but also held a part-time job, had a girlfriend and was extremely responsible. He was thoughtful and kindhearted, stubborn at times, but as he would say, "It runs in the family". I was blessed to have you, "Pekin" as my little brother. You were intelligent and stronger than I could ever be. We love you!
