My Story

Kristen was diagnosed with Stage 4 Burkitt's Lymphoma in July 2006. Burkitt's is one of the most aggressive of human cancers, but it was not aggressive enough for this determined young adult. She went through a very tough treatment with many set backs and side effects, but persevered through it all. In January 2007 she completed her treatment and has been in remission ever since. Through it all, Kristen kept her head held high with a positive attitude. She is currently an active volunteer in several cancer organizations and appreciates the opportunity to share her story in hopes of inspiring others.
