My Story

Right after Evan's 2nd birthday in 2003, he was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). He received chemotherapy for over 3 years and has been off treatment for 2 years. He just celebrated his 7th birthday and in May he will reach his 5-year post-diagnosis point! Evan really likes to hike, explore, read, and build Legos. He told me, "When I grow up I want to be either a spelunker, a paleontologist, or a mad scientist. I haven't decided yet." One of his favorite things to do is to look for special shells on the beach. We are spending spring break at the beach for Evan to indulge in this passion!
