My Story

During a routine dental cleaning, our dentist found a "lump" on the roof of Kelsey's mouth. After a biopsy, we were told it was mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the palate, and we needed to find a surgeon immediately. This was one week before Christmas. After having some of her soft and hard palate removed, she is now recovering! She loves to swim, golf, and hang out with her friends! She is excited that she will be healed just in time for summer. Because she had to have a skin graft, she worried that she wouldn't be able to swim. We feel very blessed that she is recovering so well!
