In April 2023, what started as a routine checkup turned into an emergency room visit and surgery. Our family’s world changed forever.
Austin was diagnosed with pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma (PACC), a rare form of cancer. Suddenly, our little boy was facing a battle no child should ever have to face. Our family’s days became filled with surgeries, chemotherapy, uncertainty, prayers, and the hope that we would get to see him ring that bell one day.
And in November 2023, that day came. Austin rang the bell!
That sound represented so much more than the end of treatment. It represented the strength of a little boy, the love of a family that never stopped fighting alongside him, and the hope that carried us through our darkest days.
Today, Austin proudly calls himself a cancer survivor. His journey has changed our family forever and reminded us not to take a single day, milestone, or memory for granted.
But our fight doesn’t end when treatment does. Too many children and families are still facing the fear and uncertainty of a childhood cancer diagnosis. That’s why we are sharing Austin’s story and supporting the mission of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to fund childhood cancer research.
Every child deserves the chance to grow up, chase their dreams, make memories with their family, and experience all the beautiful things life has to offer.
Thank you for standing with Austin and the countless children still fighting. Your support helps advance research and gives families hope for a brighter future.
Austin fought. Austin rang the bell. And today, Austin is living his story as a survivor.
For Austin. For every child still fighting. And for a future where every child gets the chance to ring that bell. ❤️
