My name is dezal fenske i am currently 19 months old i was diagnosed November 18th 2025 with high risk neuroblastoma cancer i was only 11 months old . This was a shock to the whole family my mom thought i was chocking on somthing because i was crawling around i was a happy healthy baby really no signs of me being sick until it was November 10th my moms birthday we woke up from a nap and i was acting really weird around my mouth was purple and around my belly button was purple i wouldnt stay awake for her and started puking So she rushed me to the emergency room and i tested positive for the rhino virus and my hemoglobin was lower still didnt think of anything they were going to transport us to greenbay. They were going to just send us home after they checked me out. My mom was not going for that mom said they needed to do more test. did an xray for aspiration to see if anything was suck in my throat but there wasnt then they did an urine sample that came back good they then did a ultrasound and another doctor came in and said they would like to do a ct scan because they found something concerning that they seen something circular My mom was going through her head what i could of put in my mouth ct results my mom got pulled from the room and had to go sit in a room with the doctor she then called dad cause he was with my other siblings at home and then she called grandma n they told us the worst new that they think i may have neuroblastoma cancer. Our whole world got dark and in the scariest nightmare any parent has to go through and should have to think about. We went to Milwaukee to get tested and lots of scans and it came back positive for it. We went back to Milwaukee a started treatments chemo i am on a study for immunotherapy antibodys this was the toughest for me it kicked my butt hard and hurt really bad but we got through it we had another scan a couple months later great news chemo was working and immunotherapy it was shrinking the tumors in February i has my big surgery to remove the tumors that was a success after that we did more chemo treatments and immunotherapy we had another big scan the surgeon got all the tumors out i had 8 of them one on my adrenal gland and rest on my liver. Scans came back and I had no evidence of neuroblastoma yay we did more chemo and then it was stem cell transplant i had to do 2 of them they were my own . I just got done with the 2nd one this july now we move on to radiation and more immunotherapy antibodys. I am a very happy boy and very active i love my family and love smooshing new people i light up everyone day.
