Pedro was 5 years old when on Christmas Eve of 2023, he started crying due to pains in his leg. He was in excruciating pain and we took him to the hospital. Sadly he was sent home with no answers. The next day on Christmas Day we took him again, and hospital staff sent him home once more. After seeing his primary physician, they recommended he be taken to the hospital. This time he was able to be admitted. He had X-rays and CT'S done and thought he might have an infection in his hip but biopsy showed it was clear. He was sent home once again.. Pedro was losing a lot of weight, he couldn't sleep due to his excessive sweating, he was so fatigued and had dark circles under his eyes. Mom took him back to the hospital where they said he just had abdominal gastritis. His symptoms continued and it was not until February 21st, 2024, that it was found that Pedro had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He began chemo immediately and and Praise the lord he finished treatment June 12,2025 and that same day Pedro rang the bell. He is now 8 years old.
