At just nine years old, Dominique was diagnosed with high-risk B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Since then, she has faced years of intensive treatment, countless hospital stays, and devastating complications. Steroid-induced avascular necrosis left her confined to a wheelchair for much of the past year and unable to run, jump, dance, or even enjoy the ordinary moments of simply going to school like other children.
Yet through it all, Dominique has remained remarkably brave, kind, and full of hope. She continues to work tirelessly in physiotherapy, celebrates every milestone, and dreams about the day she can return to the life she loves. Her courage reminds us that childhood cancer affects so much more than a diagnosis—it steals time, independence, and precious moments that every child deserves.
We proudly support St. Baldrick's in Dominique's honour because every child deserves the chance to grow up, heal, and simply be a kid again. Together, we can help fund the research that gives families like ours hope.
