In June 2024, Ryan’s life took an unexpected turn with a cancer diagnosis, a moment that fundamentally shifted his perspective and professional aspirations. Reaching remission just a month later in July 2024 served as a profound milestone that solidified his decision to pursue a career in medicine. Now studying chemistry at Purdue University, Ryan is driven by his goal of becoming a radiologist and integrating AI into medical imaging to improve early detection and treatment for others. His transition from patient to future physician fuels his commitment to supporting the critical research that makes survival stories like his possible for children facing their own battles.
